COMMON OPERATIONAL PICTURE PLAYS A KEY ROLE IN REGIONAL EMERGENCY RESPONSE EXERCISE IN BETHLEHEM, PA

As part of our ongoing collaboration with regional hospitals, the latest version of the COP was used in an emergency response management exercise held on 10 May 2008. The exercise simulated an emergency response to a plane crash in the Lehigh Valley area. The COP was instrumental in providing a shared situational understanding between regional hospitals. Those responsible for emergency management were extremely impressed with the COP’s capabilities and are advocating continued use of the system.
